I'm a doctoral candidate at UCLA where I teach and conduct research in the Psychology Department and Anderson School of Management.

As demographic diversity grows and businesses and institutions struggle to make good on their promises of increased equity and inclusion, my research addresses the challenging question of how we work with those who would seek to undermine this social change. My work explores the unique identity concerns that members of dominant groups experience in the face of growing diversity, and the strategies they employ to preserve dominance. In addition, I work on developing novel and empirically based interventions to improve intergroup attitudes within organizations.

My collaborators include Professors Yuen Huo, David Sears, Corinne Bendersky, Miguel Unzueta, Aneeta Rattan, and Ines Jurcevic. My research has been awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, the UCLA Dissertation Year Fellowship Award, and the UCLA Bertram Raven Award. My work has been written up in the APS Observer, New York Magazine, and Jezebel.
